About Kristin Kozakowski

A pediatric urologist with a rich degree of experience in her field, 
Dr. Kristin Kozakowski maintains a busy schedule of clinical and 
academic activities at her practice in Miami, Florida. Dr. Kristin 
Kozakowski applies her expertise in pediatric and reconstructive 
urology, with a focus on diagnosis and treatment for numerous 
urological conditions in children, including hydroceles, hernias, 
undescended testicles, varicoceles, penile hypospadias, kidney 
stones, vesicoureteral reflux, voiding dysfunction, urinary 
incontinence, and hydronephrosis.  

Commanding an extensive educational background, Dr. Kristin 
Kozakowski prepared for her career as an undergraduate at Georgetown 
University, where she majored in philosophy.Dr. Kozakowski earned 
selection to the Phi Beta Kappa Society and Alpha Sigma Nu. A 
recipient of the Philosophy Medal of Honor, she graduated summa cum 
laude with her Bachelor of Arts in May 1999. After receiving her 
degree, she relocated to New York City and enrolled at the Columbia 
University College of Physicians and Surgeons. 

From August 1999 to May 2003, Dr. Kristin Kozakowski continued to 
build on her solid record of academic achievement at Columbia. Dr. 
Kozakowski served as Class President and President of the Ethics 
Club, tutored fellow medical students through the Student Success 
Network, and contributed to the university administration as a member 
of the Dean’s Advisory Committee. 

After graduating from Columbia with her Doctor of Medicine, Dr. 
Kristin Kozakowski commenced a yearlong general surgery internship at 
both Columbia University Medical Center and Morgan Stanley Children’s 
Hospital of New York-Presbyterian. In July 2004, Dr. Kozakowski began 
her residency in urology through the aforementioned institutions, 
after which she spent a year as Chief Resident in the J. Bentley 
Squier Urologic Clinic in New York. As the recipient of a clinical 
and research fellowship in pediatric urology, she completed her 
formal training at Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children in June 2010. 
During her fellowship, she played a key role in several research 
projects that led to presentations at various professional 
conferences and publication in several peer-reviewed scholarly 
journals. At present, she lives in the greater Miami metropolitan
